Nubia 3D Pad is an interesting device, and is a tablet that does seem to have useful applications. It’s also worth noting that Nubia Pad 3D comes with a micro-SD expansion slot which supports up to one terabyte. However, it’s worth noting that it will only work on one face at a time. The 3D party-trick is very impressive with a wide field of view when the 3D effect is active. While it does have those 3D capabilities, it also comes with the Google Play Store, where regular apps and content can be downloaded. The Leia Appstore also has more than 50 3D games and thousands of 3D educational apps to enhance the experience. There are multiple preloaded apps with demo videos and photos to flick through. Cameras on the back allow for taking 3D photos and video, as well as scanning objects.Īs well as viewing already made 3D or 2D-converted content on the tablet, you can also create some high-quality original 3D content using the device. By doing this, it allows for the display to shift into a 3D view. Nubia Pad 3D is fitted with two front-facing cameras that it uses to track the user’s face. Interestingly, the announcement at this year’s MWC was pitched more towards medical support, 3D education and digital exhibitions at museums and art galleries than everyday consumers.

While 3D isn’t for everyone, it does have the ‘cool factor’ and others in the office were fascinated by the ability to take photos in 3D. But I was unable to test this out during my time with the tablet. This includes things like YouTube and Facebook videos through the Android share option.
